About the Role:
RCL Foods is looking for a skilled and dedicated Millwright to join our Pretoria West Bakery team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and optimizing all mechanical and electrical equipment and systems to ensure the smooth operation of our bakery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems and components.
- Conduct preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
- Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
- Collaborate with production staff to ensure minimal disruption to operations during maintenance activities.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations and ensure compliance with company policies.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Millwright Trade Test Certificate.
- At least 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the food manufacturing industry.
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
- Experience with PLCs and automated systems is an advantage.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Willingness to work shifts and overtime as required.
